We’ve been taught to ‘calm down’ through the storm.
I don’t want you to calm down. I want you to rev up into this next phase of your life with a stronger connection to your body, mind, and spirit– meeting your deepest self in the process.
This is the moment you decide you’re no longer negotiating with your body, energy, or life.
My head’s about to burst into 1000 flames every day and I’m eating like a bunny, taking supplements, and avoiding soy AND still gaining weight. I don’t exactly feel powerful, Jamie.
I hear you. Perimenopause feels different. Like your body is changing at a rate that’s hard to keep up with, blessing you with unpredictable symptoms, mood swings, and disconnection from self. It feels like a betrayal. Your body woke up and chose violence. But I don’t see it that way.

Because truthfully, I lived on autopilot for most of my (good) life. So when perimenopause showed up it woke me up to the bullshit we face as women in a system that benefits from us submitting to a script. I gave up alcohol. I gave up just following the linear path that said, it’s time to retreat into the shadows. I took radical control.
Did I have those awful symptoms? Yes, I was blindsided with insomnia, brain fog, joint pain, and rough mood swings. Like my body was rebelling against a system that wanted to keep it unwell and small. But when I ignored the quick fixes for each individual symptom and started viewing my health as a catalyst for my liberation– I found freedom and vitality.
